Language profile and inspiration

Our language profile focuses on inspiring children to explore and embrace various languages. We use Jolly Phonics and the Före Bornholm model to assist children in their language development.

We create an environment where children's language development flourishes and their curiosity is stimulated. Additionally, we implement one educator who speaks English and one who speaks Swedish in each department, following our philosophy: one educator, one language.

Sustainability and health

Our Health Profile and Green Flag integrate outdoor activities into our daily work to promote children's well-being. Outdoor play is a central part of our pedagogy, with drop-off and pick-up taking place outdoors.

We regularly explore nature through visits to various parks such as Hagaparken, Lill-Jansskogen, Vanadis, and Humlegården.

Activities like yoga and Zumba are practiced both indoors and outdoors to promote movement and health.

Joy, empathy and respect

In our operations, joy, empathy, and respect are core values that permeate every interaction. We strive to create an atmosphere where children feel safe to express themselves freely, show care for each other, and appreciate differences.

By promoting these values, we teach children to be aware of others' feelings, to be kind and respectful in their actions, and to value diversity. This culture of joy, empathy, and respect is fundamental to creating a harmonious and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and grow.

Our workplan and prioritized goals

At our preschool, we prioritize a unique educational approach centered around Language, Health, and the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where children are recognized to have a multitude of languages. We believe that each child possesses a hundred languages, and we provide them with space for aesthetic expression.

Parent cooperation

For us, strong parent collaboration is important. We have a PTA (Parent-Teacher Association/Parent Council) where at least one parent from each group participates, and together, we focus on how we can further improve the preschool.
